Lincoln Parish Park Kids’ Fishing Tournament

Where: Lincoln Parish Park

Youngsters go for the big catch. Prizes and refreshments. Open to age 12 and under. Bring your own fishing pole; bait provided. No entry fee or pre-registration, just show up!

Participants must be accompanied by parent or other adult.

Peach Parade

Where: Parade begins at LA Tech Athletics Complex, follows Alabama Avenue to Trenton Street to Dan Reneau Drive.

Peach dignitaries, floats, cheerleaders, clowns, musicians, marching groups and more will make their way through Ruston in “A Peach in Time” style. Join us as the parade winds through downtown Ruston. Catherine McVea (Betty Robbins’ Volunteer of the Year) will serve as Grand Marshal.

The Louisiana Peach Festival Parade is presented by Junior Auxiliary of Ruston.

Cobbler Gobbler Eating Contest

When: Sat, June 22 @ 6:30pm
Where: Railroad Park
Sponsor: Hampton Inn

At the 65th annual Louisiana Peach Festival a 2,251 pound peach cobbler was cooked in the middle of downtown Ruston. This cobbler not only broke a Guiness world record, it inspired The Hampton Inn Ruston to see who could eat enough cobbler to become Ruston’s Cobbler Gobbler.

Competitors: Choudrant High School, Ruston High & Simsboro High School. $1,000 Grand Prize! Sponsored by Hampton Inn Ruston. Held in Railroad Park.
